The creative design of ALTS by adidas celebrates 75 years of adidas history, blending the brand’s legacy, athletes, creators, and ambassadors with a futuristic twist - this is your alternate self.
The collection is organized into eight dynamic sport- and lifestyle-inspired categories, known as ALT[er] Egos:
Each ALTS by adidas avatar is distinct, offering a personalized profile picture (PFP) to showcase at launch. The full collection features over 250 unique traits and more than 80 digital wearables inspired by adidas’ iconic design codes, giving collectors an opportunity to express their identity in digital spaces.
This collection has been brought to life with the support and creativity of adidas’ dedicated PFP community taskforce.

We embraced this space early and made history - becoming one of the first major brands to launch an NFT collection with Into the Metaverse in 2021, a milestone that set the stage for exploring new realms of play together.
Over the past three years, we’ve been proud of the things we have achieved together: delivering bespoke ITM merchandise pack, introducing Indigo Herz as our ambassador, launching adidas Virtual Gear (aVG) as one of the biggest airdrops back at the time.
On top we hosted community events in Miami, Berlin, New York & Paris creating token-gated drops via the Confirmed App and supporting emerging artists via the Residency program in Seoul.
In addition we’ve explored on-chain media & entertainment with Doodles and Pharrell via their beloved character Deysi, did activations on Base via Onchain Summer and promoted an active lifestyle with STEPN GO on Solana and Polygon. We’ve been able to experiment by testing new launch mechanics with adidas Originals partners including Prada, BAPE, Moncler, Bugatti.

Our goal has always been to create, grow, and foster our ALTS by adidas community by inviting artists, creators, collectors, and fans to explore the possibilities of this emerging space.
Throughout this journey, we’ve learned valuable lessons: building takes time, market conditions changed and the blockchain is forever.
As a result we decided in 2023 to rework the ALTS by adidas project by taking a step back and devoting more time to develop the milestone our community wanted most: a high-quality PFP collection.
We believe this approach has been the right one as we are proud of the final output as presented today.
We’re here to play with a new look, therefore it’s time for a shift: no more ambiguous roadmaps or announcements to drive ‘hype’.
Our focus will be on delivering updates and benefits only when they’re ready, ensuring clarity, inclusivity and trust.
For ALTS by adidas we have the ambition to further develop the IP in 2025 within emerging on-chain playable worlds. We are exploring opportunities to collaborate with select on-chain gaming platforms and developers.
